SHORT FILM (University of Greenwich, 2021)
The story of a young girl who reclaims her identity by leaving behind the inner demon that keeps her tied to her fears and conditions her to the point of controlling her life as if she was a puppet.

Vanity is a visual project that I shot for my Emerging Cinematography final assignment, which I filmed and edited, adapting the concept from an original photography series (see 'Human Dolls' under the Photography section). The film explores themes of identity and mental health through a symbolic human puppet breaking free from her inner demons. Inspired by the cinematography of Nicolas Winding Refn's films, I used a bold, high-contrast color palette to communicate emotions. To achieve this, I chose a RED Dragon camera, Astera Pixel Tubes, and added a vintage Cokin filter to create a surreal, dreamy atmosphere.
